General causes of stomach pain
• Appendicitis –
whenever there is swelling of the appendix it leads to agonizing pain in the lower right-hand side of your abdomen and means would ultimately lead to removal of appendix.
• In case of stomach ulcer –
In case of bleeding, open sore in the lining of your stomach or duodenum.
• Acute cholecystisis –
In case of inflammation of the gallbladder, which is often caused by gallstones.
• Kidney stones –
there are stones which needs to be passed out in urine, and may block the kidney tubes. They cause stomach pain.
Cause of stomach pain in children includes:
• a urinary tract infection that keeps returning
• heartburn and acid reflux
• abdominal migraines
Causes of stomach ache in Adults
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) – a common condition that causes bouts of stomach cramps, bloating, diarrhea or constipation; the pain is often relieved when you go to the toilet
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) – long-term conditions that involve inflammation of the gut, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis
A urinary tract infection that keeps returning – in these cases, you will usually also experience a burning sensation when you urinate.
