Breast lift is a surgical procedure in which breasts are raised by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue in order to reshape and support the new breast contour. A breast lift is intended to rejuvenate your figure with more youthful and uplifted breast. Changes in the breast and loss of skin elasticity can be results of:

Weight fluctuation

Breast lift doesn’t change the size of your breasts or round out the upper part of the breast. In case you want fuller breast, you may consider breast augmentation.

We at Vimhans PrimaMed Institute of Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery are committed to provide you exceptional surgical solutions so that you can improve your living standards and quality of life. We have a team of prominent surgeons trained in top class institutions in India and across the globe.

You are an ideal candidate for a breast lift if:

Your breasts have a flatter, elongated shape or pendulous
Your breasts sag or have lost volume and shape
Your nipples and areolas point downward
Your nipples fall below the breast crease
Your one breast is lower than the other
You have stretched skin and enlarged areolas

The breast lift procedure can be achieved through different incision patterns and techniques. The best technique for you depends on:

Size and shape of the breast
Size and position of the areolas
Degree of breast sagging
Skin quality, elasticity and amount of extra skin

The procedure is generally performed under the local anesthesia. There are three common incision patterns:

Around the areola
Around the areola, vertically down from the breast crease and horizontally along the breast crease
Around the areola and vertically down from the areola to the breast crease

After making incisions, the surgeon:

Lifts and reshapes the underlying breast tissue to improve breast contour and firmness
Repositions the nipple and areola to a natural, more youthful height
Removes the excess breast skin to compensate for a loss of elasticity

After the removal of the excess skin and reshaping of your breasts, the remaining skin is tightened as the incisions are closed.
